Some way to visualize how an individual got to Carnegie Hall

I know we originally talked about doing both (within a tabsetPanel()), but just wanted to revisit.

Depending on the complexity involved to solve the arc-wrapping issue, chloropleths could be an easier alternative.

Since you are closer to the arc solution, it's your call. I feel like I could build a chloropleth map fairly quickly if we want to see how it would look. Holding until we chat tho.

I will add code to create multi-arcs based off the continent selector using the same colorFactor "Dark2" palette.

This should just be an RDS.

This might be able to run off of the datatable output, but could also exist with another UI widget that allows filtering by name.

Based on @kpivert's mock design, this would be a way to show an instructional blurb on-app-open instead of having a permanent text block.

Just for prettiness and consistancy

Ideally use the carnige hall red for america and figure out something cohesive for the rest of the world in a dark background.

Reactive values carrying the continent filtered performer data is not playing nice with mapdeck. So for now we show all arc and zoom to the proper continent.

If possible pull picture paths from wikidata and show in the tool-tips/data-table

These guys make cool Shiny apps and this one have a nice regional selector via leaflet. Migh tbe cool curb appeal.

So that the bulk of clean up is happening outside of the actual shiny app.

I need to fix the geolocated_performers.feather file because there are 1618 records without a continent.

Make these like plotly graphics where mouse-over events produce a meaningful pop up.
