Installation

Go to the directory where you have your Hugo site and run:

mkdir themes
cd themes
git clone https://github.com/kishaningithub/hugo-shopping-product-catalogue-simple.git
rm -rf hugo-shopping-product-catalogue-simple/.git

For more information read the official setup guide of Hugo.

Configuration

After installing the theme successfully, i recommend you to take a look at the exampleSite directory. You will find a working Hugo site configured with the theme that you can use as a starting point for your site.

First, let's take a look at the config.toml. It will be useful to learn how to customize your site. Feel free to play around with the settings.

Add a story-telling blog?

This product catalogue theme is awesome, easy to view details of product elegantly, but sometimes only product can't drive people to check back, but stories can, no one don't like story, is it possible to have two page types (product and post) presented on same page, when "product" is clicked, it will show the default details; when "post" is clicked, it will show a different design like blog. Thus visitors can not only check the product but also enjoy more stories. Please ignore this if it offends you. Thanks for your great work again.

theme not working

i dont knw much, this error is coming only for this theme, please help me out

404 page not found

When I git cloned the theme, add the theme to my config and run

hugo server -D

visiting the localhost just shows a 404 for:

http://localhost:1313/products/

what I did:

hugo new site shop
cd shop
cd themes
git clone https://github.com/kishaningithub/hugo-shopping-product-catalogue-simple.git
rm -rf hugo-shopping-product-catalogue-simple/.git
cd ..
echo 'theme = "hugo-shopping-product-catalogue-simple"' >> config.toml
hugo server -D

did I miss something?

"ALL" category navigates for parent folder of site.

Hi, I have a very rough start here: https://conoria.gitlab.io/nugnu/categories/cakes/

I noticed that if I click on the "ALL" category, I get bumped back to https://conoria.gitlab.io/products, instead of https://conoria.gitlab.io/nugnu/products. I'm not sure if the issue is in my config, or in the theme.

How to set up an additional page

Hey everyone!

I like this theme but I would like to add an "Imprint" or "About Us" page. Didn't find a way to do this. Is this possible?

Menu not collapsible

Hello, when the page is visualized in a small screen (smartphone), the menu is not collapsible, the titles are no longer visible. Do you have any suggestion how can I fix this?

Added description = "hi it's me" to the bottom of config.toml, but didn't work, anything wrong?
