Try leaving the serial number blank, or setting to zero. Does it connect then? I've found that sometimes the arm's serial number has not been properly set in its firmware, so the driver looks for a serial number that does not exist.

When I roslaunch the mico_arm.launch (or jaco_arm.launch), the terminal display these messages as follows:
