A simple distributed file exchange system developed in C with functioning similar to that of peer-peer networks. The implementation followed a hybrid approach where server maintains a list of registered peers which then communicate directly with each other. Supported parallel file chunks download and message exchange.

IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROGRAM TO CONNECT TO PEERS AND DOWNLOADED FILES IN CHUNKS.

The program can register itself with server display available hosts.It can then connect to these host using either hostname or IP address.It support a maximum of 3 connection.

Any attempt to self connect or dulpicate is returned with an appropriate error.

The program also supports download in parallel using specified chunk size.It works well with very small file sizes.

There is another program in 'singfldld' folder that can accept chunk size and download files from a single machine and has been tested to work succsefully.
