error installing gnomecast using Ubuntu 16.04 about gnomecast

Try clearing your pip3 cache. Run the install again with the flag --no-cache-dir
I was able to install on a fresh boot of Ubuntu 16.04.5.

Having the same issue, installed all other prerequirements (though had to install them one at a time based on the error messages I got (no module called 'bottle', no module called 'pychromecast', etc) however I can't get around no module called 'dbus' despite having python3-dbus, python-dbus, dbus and a number of other packages called 'dbus'

trying pip install dbus-python gives me an overly long error message

I had the same issue but it was because of conda. I disabled the base environment (conda deactivate) and followed the install instructions and it went through.
