Hi!
How can I set h3_index for kepler.gl in tableau?
Hello!
I run
npm start
Then set URL of my server to property .trex file.
Then I open the extension in Tableau desktop and I see this error:
Error: Could not find «store» in the context of «Connect(Container)». Either wrap the root component in a <Provider>, or pass a custom React context provider to <Provider> and the corresponding React context consumer to Connect(Container) in connect options.
src/App.js
577 .then(closePayload => {
578 log(‘configuring’, closePayload, tableauExt.settings.getAll());
579 if (closePayload == ‘false’) {
580 this.setState({
581 isSplash: false,
582 isConfig: false,
583 tableauSettings: tableauExt.settings.getAll()
And when I open my dashboard in Chrome browser, I see white page and this error in the console:
Can you help me?
Hi everyone,
It's super cool to see the videos and demos online, and I am wondering if there is any sample workbook for me to start with? Or at least a sample dataset?
Thank you so much.
Kelvin
Time-lapse animations seem to be poorly implemented. While the map animation works flawlessly, the time bar, progress is janky and gets stuck/jumps from one time to another. It'd be great if this very nice feature of Kepler is polished for the Tableau version. The gif depicts the situation though it seems a lot smoother than how it really is. The video can be downloaded here
When using a custom map style (added through the kepler interface) in the Tableau Extension the map style is not be retained on save => close tableau => re-open workbook. Sometimes it seems to save it, but when moving from one computer to another or publishing to server the custom map style is no longer saved. We should look at how custom map styles are being saved as part of the kepler config props.
Currently in tableau extension, integration between Kepler and Tableau is not taking effect when polygon selection tool is used on a view. This enhancement will also evaluate that action and enable associated marks to be highlighted or filtered on corresponding Tableau views.
Currently it's not possible to connect to multiple sheets. When possible, this feature would be interesting in order to integrate different datasets.
I am able to filter map from a chart section but cannot get my charts to be filtered from a polygon or rectangle selection on the map. Is this still supported? Is there some trick to get this to work in the latest version of Tableau Server?
In the image below I want the selection box to filter the chart...
The same problem reported in keplergl/kepler.gl#827 still exists in kepler.gl-tableau.
Based on my sheet including all the data points with lon and lat, I can display all the types (hexbin, cluster, heatmap, etc.) except point. Actually I can even add labels for points. Then all the labels would be visualized at the correct positions. The time filter also contains a histogram of data.
We have data with around 900K rows and 4 columns in a sheet, and a click on the 'configure' button in the extension does not respond. If we replace the data with a smaller one (with 260K rows), then it's possible to click, and everything would work.
A maybe related question: is it even possible to read data from a database instead of a tableau sheet in the extension? If not, may I know the reason? Thanks.
