A basic python framework to communicate with a ultrasound probe

Seems to work well with UProbe-1 Wireless Probe Ultrasound Scanner

• Raw PCAP of the wireless traffic during acquisition

Basic acquisition while connected to the probe:

• Listening to 5002 for data
• Listening to 5003 for info

These tools create (via piping) the data files on which subsequent notebooks work on. (aka use python test5002.py > 20170404-patates.data to get the data).

Some notebooks:

• Understanding the headers
• Getting data, and processing it in a video
• Creating a pseudo-valid DICOM with data

Other portable US probes

Hi kelu124

First of all, thanks for making your applications available. There are indeed many good references and hardware and software engineering development of US from your open access repositories. Well, I am opening this issue as I have a series of questions:

1. Have you considered to try other probes such as this one:

2. Where did you buy your probe? and how much did it cost?

3. Just curious, how did you deal with the permissions of the US probe manufacturer?
4. Are you planning to use other portable devices?
5. Do you know which portable US devices have good access to beam-forming and image processing.
