Move the site off Heroku

My plan:

• Set up a $5 Digital Ocean Server.
• Set the site up to be hosted there.
• Enable page caching to keep the site static.
• Daily job to refresh the cache.
• Switch the DNS.
• Set up Pingdom monitoring.

Remove Lorem Ipsum before launch

The blog post still has placeholder lorem ipsum text. This ticket is a reminder to remove or edit that post before launch.

A blog post about the new site would fill the space nicely.

Clean up styling for the Contact section

I hacked in the ability to sign up for our KC Ruby Slack through the site, but it does not look good at all.

We are using pretty standard rest everywhere except for users#gallery. I dont see a reason that this shouldnt be a PhotosController with an index action

Updating Meetup Stats

How will we keep the Meetup stats update-to-date?

Document site setup

The site went down due to #19 and it took some time to track down which source code was currently being used for the site (this repo) and where it was hosted (heroku). It would be great to have this documented in the readme.

Properly fix the site

As a temporary fix, I did the minimum amount of work to get the site back up. It turned out to be more work than I had hoped it would be. Anyways, I force pushed #32 to heroku and now the site is back up, but less functional.

It would be super swell if someone made it a bit more functional and:

• brought back the meetup integration
• fixed the content that I ripped out
• upgraded to rails 5
• then upgrade to rails 6

User created success message is off the layout grid

Similar to what is happening with the slack invite form in #24, we should probably put this "on the grid" so to speak

Upgrade from rails 4.1.1 to 4.1.10

Upgrade to rails 4.1.10, make sure the site works and that all the tests still pass.

Fix Meetup API calls

The calls to the Meetup API are currently failing. Fixing those calls would be A+++.
