A react app to visualize the 2019 National Elections' results using mapbox similar to this page.

Setup mapbox token

Create a .env file and include a variable REACT_APP_MAPBOX_ACCESS_TOKEN equal to your personal access token

Run the project

clone the project

select master branch

Navigate to the root folder:

yarn install

yarn start

browser listens to http://localhost:3000 as default port

Elections' data & images were taken from Hellenic Republic's Ministry of Interior.

Replace https://cors-anywhere.herokuapp.com that used to serve as proxy to fetch election data due to recent limitations

Discover greek prefecture geojson that divides Attica & Salonica metropolitan area in more districts

With the current Greek prefecture geojson there are fewer departments in Attica & Salonica wider areas. As a result the election results on Result Table & when hovering on the map are not correct. The depicted a manually selected prefecture.

Implement english to greek translation & vice versa

Adapt map layout depending on user screen size.

When resolution is not high map is displayed in a high zoom level (see default macbook pro resolution for instance).
