webgl-surface-plot's Issues

Enhancement - Range Adjustments

Instead of always a cube, would be nice if the x axis went out to 1000 points.
In other words set the x,y,z ranges.

The result would be a long rectangular surface as opposed to a square.

Hi Greg,

I was trying to plot my equation with your surface plot and was experiencing
some issues with the limits for x and y. for some reason, it only plot values
between ~-3 to ~3. Until now I was just adjusting the labels on the webGL
version, but realized that when webGL isnt enable, the tooltip values will
remain the same. I have been trying to figure out what I could change in your
code to fix this, but after trying for so long, I thought I should see if you
knew a if to the issue. I have updated to the most recent version of
surfacePlot.js in case that makes a difference.

Thanks

Redrawing Graph

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
Hello Greg,

Thank you for this code. It works very well. I am using it to display
propagating EM waves (which are calculated via the FTDT algorithm). I am a
python/C programmer, and I am new to javascript and webGL, so I apologize if
this question is very novice.

I'd like to update the graph at different timesteps. Right now, I have the user
input a value, click calculate, and then the results are graphed. I'd like to
redraw the graph; my current implementation just draws the graph. Looking at
your source code I see a redraw feature, but I am not certain how to make use
of it. Right now, it just makes new graphs every time the user puts in a new
value for the time. If redraw does not work in this way, then could I delete
the old graph?

Thank you,
Matt Otten

Color gradient glitch

Hi, first of all thank you for this script which is great !

However, I have an issue with it : with some types of surface plots, the color
gradient seems to have some glitches at some points. This happens either with
webgl version or "classic" version, even though the result is not exactly the
same. You can see what I mean in the attached files.

I also tried to remove some of the default colors, to keep only 2 of them. With
that solution, the webgl version looks nice, but there are some holes in the
"classic" one... I have checked, and the data are well entered.

If you think this comes from me using your script wrong, do you have any idea
of what I should change about it ?

Thanking you in anticipation !

Labels do not display in Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?

If I go to the link
http://webgl-surface-plot.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/example.html

I do not see the labels on the three axis when using Chrome 19.0.1084.46 m

They do work fine in Firefox.

I am pretty sure I could see the labels before ( a few days ago). I am pretty
sure I have not changed any settings in my browser but it still smells like
something I did. Does it render fine for you in Chrome ?
