Upgrade bundle to Xenial

Is it possible to update this bundle to Ubuntu Xenial (16.04 LTS)?
I tried using the bundle-dev.yaml deployment with JuJu but it's still only Trusty (14.04 LTS).
I also tried hard-coding the bundle.yaml charms with the Xenial releases of the charms. This caused the Units to be Xenial series, but then none of the units would start up.

Edit: To clarify what I meant by none of the units would start up, I meant that the units start up, but then error out when installing (hook failed: install).

Bundle fails install - openjdk-8-jdk LXD environment

When deploying this bundle on a localhost LXD platform, the hadoop units try to install openjdk-8-jdk and continuously fails.
Deploying the same bundle on an Azure platform has no errors and installs openjdk-7-jdk instead.
