platon's Issues

Live preview in a iframe

I think there should be a way to have livepreview in a iframe next to, this will make it a awesome quick markdown presentation tool, just like jsbin/jsfiddle is for quick prototypes.

Export as PDF?

Hey,
Just discovered this yesterday when swearing at LibreOffice, was wondering if its possible (I may have missed a feature, just been playing around with it a bit) to export the created presentation as a PDF document for offline viewing?
Love the project, its literally exactly what I was looking for :D

Typing quickly puts cursor at the end

I'm using Chrome. I'm unclear under which exact circumstances it occurs but I know it never occurs when I type very slowly. However, when I type quickly, the cursor goes to the end of the text at the bottom every couple of words. It's quite annoying yet I still use the tool because it's awesome. I'd be open to fixing myself if you gave me a few pointers on where the issue may be in the code. Thanks!

Offline Support

Today I recommended platon.io to a friend and he asked an interesting question: what happens when you want to do a presentation and you have no internet connection?

One solution is to export your presentation to PDF as in #3. But I think a much nicer solution is to use the HTML5 App Cache and JavaScript Local Storage. The idea would be to cache the whole app and to store your markdown presentations using the local storage.

Here you can find more information about this technologies:

Two Column Layout

Is there a way to have a two column layout on a slide?

If not, I could probably make a pull request based on the discussion here: gnab/remark#236

There could probably be 5 options

  • left-column70 + right-column30
  • left-column60 + right-column40
  • left-column50 + right-column50
  • left-column40 + right-column60
  • left-column30 + right-column70
