mattermost-gather-users's Issues

Change readme.md to be more informative of set_meetings command

I would suggest changing the set_meetings command info from:

/gather-plugin set_meetings [{"user1": ["bruce", "martha"]}] - Set the meetings that have are already happened.

to

/gather-plugin set_meetings [{"user1": ["bruce", "martha"]}, {"user2":["alice","bob"]}, ...] - Set the meetings that have are already happened.
Note that "user1" is ignored, and is just used as a reference.

I believe that note is correct, from my understanding of the code - I don't understand Go well.

Users are re-added to gather-users plugin the week after they remove themselves.

Two of my users have reported unsubscribing from the gather-users plugin using /gather-plugin off, I have confirmed this with each of them using /gather-plugin info, which showed that they were no longer on the list.

However, when monday rolled around, we found that these two users had again been matched with someone for a meeting, and appeared as subscribed in the /gather-plugin info dialogue.

Gather-plugin doesn't unpause users

We have Mattermost 5.0.4 installed, along with gather-users 2.4.0.

It seems that once a user is paused, they can't unpause themselves. I tested this several times myself, by typing /gather-users pause. This gave the message "Gather plugin unpaused" (never saying paused because it was still trying to unpause me), but each time when I checked ./gather-users info, I still showed up as paused.

Interestingly, if I then /gather-users off and /gather-users on, it will instantly match me up for a meeting, but /gather-users info will still show me as paused (and I imagine won't sign me up for a meeting the next week).

gather-users plugin reset itself and lost its list of members and previous meetings.

Afraid I don't know much about the process that this plugin uses to save data, but happy to help with troubleshooting.

I've now reminded users to re-sign up, and have set at least two meetings to have already happened. I will update this issue with more information if the information is lost again.

Is it possible that mattermost destroyed the plugin database?

Gather-plugin doesn't add all users to meetings

What it says on the tin. We've instantiated the gather-users plugin several times. Many users have had many meetings, but the plugin has only matched me once this whole time. Here is the output of /gather-plugin meetings with usernames obfuscated:

Persist gathered users across restarts

First of all thanks for creating this extension. It makes it easier for our colleagues to keep in touch while working from home. It's simple and easy to use, which is why we chose it over a few alternatives.

One problem we have is that after restarting Mattermost users need to re-enable the plugin by typing /gather-plugin on. It would be nice if the state would instead persist across restarts.

Users stop being matched after a while

For the past year or two we've gotten occasional reports of people not being included in meetings after a while. Pausing, adding or removing does not affect it, and the users that are ignored appear in the user lists just fine.

I have tried to debug this issue but have had no luck so far, especially as it pops up every few months and I myself haven't been matched in a long time. Any idea what might be going on? I checked the source once or twice but found no obvious errors.
