A simple chrome extension to make reading Arabic easier

Hi there 👋

I'm a PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at New York University. Some things I'm currently thinking about:

• How do (large) language models generalize under distribution shift?
• How is language model training similar to or different from human language acquisition?
• How can we interpret language and language models through the lens of algebra?

Some things I've thought about recently:

• Do transformer models need to be very deep to achieve good performance on compositional tasks?
• Are there problems which transformers linear state-space models cannot solve?
• How can the Yiddish verbal prefix צע- be analyzed as an ingressive marker?
• Can you train a language model's tokenizer at the same time as you train the language model?

Handled texts disappear in some monospace input fields

The page in the example illustration is the editing section of the English Wiktionary article for the Spanish word almíbar.

I have experienced the bug on Firefox with the addon coming from the Firefox extensions store – I would not use Chrome, as it is proprietary and, worse, distributed by the data tycoon Google. Funnily, it does not appear with the Wikipedia edition of MediaWiki.

Where to add new fonts?

Hi,
I'd like to add new fonts but I can't seem to find the place where the fonts are located.
I want to add Nastaliq fonts as they are useful for Persian and Urdu text users.

Add Nastaleeq fonts

Please add Nastaleeq fonts like Nafees, Awami, Mehr for Urdu and Farsi.
Huruf only has Naskh which is only used for Arabic.

Add ON/OFF switch

Add on/off switch so we don't need to disable extensions for turning off

YouTube comments does not work with the extension

Been recently using this extension on Vivaldi (Chrominum-based) and I noticed on YouTube that while Title and Description text gets enlarged and changed, the comments' section for the font does not change at all.

Is there any way to resolve that? If not, will this get resolved in a future update?

Quran.com website breaks with this extension

I'm not sure if this is really the extension's fault. The Quran.com website cannot display Quranic verses with this plugin enabled.

It seems that there is a problem with the regex expression that evaluates if the text is Arabic or not on YouTube.
