gitlab-and-awx-demo's Issues

Forwarded ports

First off, love the way you put this together, it'll be massively helpful for development.

Should probably mention the following up-front:

awx.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 80, host: 10080, protocol: "tcp"
awx.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 1080, host: 11080, protocol: "tcp"
awx.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 2222, host: 12222, protocol: "tcp"

I tried to connect to just 80 and 1080 after upping it then read over the file to see what the port forwards are.

I hope to issue you a PR with some changes based on my experience getting it working.

None of the GitLab accounts listed work, haven't have a chance to hack it apart yet to see what the cause is. Running on MacOS Catalina (10.15.1), VirtualBox 6.0.14 r133895 (Qt5.6.3)

It's not clear how to create a "normal" workflow in AWX using tower_ modules

Here's the workflow I would expect:

  1. Create Users ✔️
  2. Create Organisation ✔️
  3. Add User to Organisation ❌ (I thought perhaps creating a team, and adding the user and role to the team.... which I've done, but that doesn't let them interact with the org controlled features).
  4. Add a SCM credential ✔️
  5. Add a Project with SCM ✔️
  6. Add an Inventory ✔️
  7. Add a group to the Inventory ✔️
  8. Add a host to the group in the Inventory ❌ (Nope, can't spot this one anywhere)
  9. Add a job template with the project ✔️

If you can figure out how to join the last couple of "dots" that'd be really great... Unless of course, "one" can't do that! :)
