flex.h not found

hi Joel,
I haven't found flex.h anywhere, has it been renamed in Flex SDK?

Starting with Flex

Hi there, I found this cinder block and wanted to play around to see what I can do with it and got stuck with the sample. Downloaded and installed CUDA, flex and this sample project. All paths are set as they should, but here is the thing.

NvFlexSolverDesc solverDesc; NvFlexSetSolverDescDefaults( &solverDesc ); solverDesc.maxParticles = particleCount; solverDesc.maxDiffuseParticles = 0; mSolver = NvFlexCreateSolver( mLibrary, &solverDesc );

Throws an error. The fix:
mSolver = NvFlexCreateSolver(mLibrary, particleCount, diffuseParticleCount);

Next error (no such method)
NvFlexSetActiveCount( mSolver, particleCount );

Commenting this line now compiles the sample, but then a serious memory leak is created and the particles don't move. They are positioned and you can move around, but nothing happens despite setting some initial parameters. What can I do to get this sample project working?

doesn't work properly in release build

First of all, thanks for this awesome block. It's amazing!

It works just fine in debug build as the demo video you posted to old cinder forum but it seems collision between particles not working in release build like the video I have attached here.

my working environment info is following,

  • windows 10
  • visual studio 2015
  • cinder 0.9.2dev 64bit
  • flex 1.2.0
  • cuda 9.1
  • geforce gtx 970

Logs only complain about PDB files but no specific error messages.
