Hi Joe:

I've been slowly working on a markdown-inspired concept tied closer to a subset of an HTML DOM. The specifics are still in flux a little in my mind but the general idea of needing a standalone isomorphic DOM is clear cut.

I'd like invite you to see some of the early work

Guarantee: All work is open-source and done under the clear notion that Markout is not yet another Markdown flavour but merely a spin-off concept that will always prioritize the ability to be rendered as well-formed Markdown.

Ask: Are you open for contributing the package name markdom directly to this new effort?
