Archive ChatGPT conversations in Markdown

Instructions

• Step 1: Export your data from ChatGPT settings and unzip the file
• Step 2: Set the file path in conv.py (full_path_to_conversations variable)
• Step 3: Run the script: python3 convert.py

Your conversations will now be saved in Markdown in the /tmp/conversations directory.

Data saved

• Summarized title of the conversation
• Created and updated time
• Prompts
• Responses

chatgpt-markdown's Issues

Include the conversation id in the markdown files

Currently, only the title, creation date, and update dates are stored. Including the id will enable referencing the conversation in the ChatGPT interface.
