My Desktop

General Details

• OS: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
• Wallpaper: original. Credits to Mikael Gustafsson
• Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 5
• Browser: Google Chrome
• Terminal: GNOME
• Theme: Sweet KDE
• Icons: Used various, mainly OieIcons
• Dock: Latte

Apps & Config

• Compton: Compositor. I mostly used it for the blurring effect. See my config
• Conky: System activity monitor
  • Weather API: OpenWeather.
  • Music: Prioritises Media via Google Chrome & Spotify (since that's what I mainly use). Untested with other Media applications.
  • See my config. It includes a script to launch on startup, and a script to toggle on/off.
  • Code is forked from here, with this to help with the OpenWeather API.
• Visual Studio Code: IDE
  • Theme: 1984
• GNOME Terminal: see my bash config
  • tmux: see config. I mostly use it for the split-screen functionality.
  • starship: Simple and minimalistic.
  • neofetch: Command-line system information.
  • fzf: Command-line fuzzy finder
  • gotop: Graphical activity monitor
