memtype's Issues

Pin reset issues

Actually, the pin resets itself after 4 wrong tries (not after 3!). And after it got reset to 0000 I can see all my previous names of the credentials. The passwords are destroyed though. Bug? =)

Different pin input method suggestion

Instead of a base 10 pin with 4 digits where you have to press up or down to change the current digit, use a base 4 pin with 8 digits where each direction in the joystick represents a number. This would present a few advantages:

  • Pin entry would always be a constant 8 steps instead of 4 to 24 steps (pin 0000 or pin 5555)
  • Will result in more pin combinations (4^8 = 65536 vs 10^4 = 10000)
  • Makes it easier to input the pin without looking at the screen (maybe even make it type "pass: " and fill with asterisks as you input the pin or blink a led for every digit)

What do you think?
Great project by the way.

Refresh PIN hash at SET PIN command

When setting a new pin into the memtype the old pin hash remains loaded causing malfunction if not locked and unlocked again before using.

Lost PIN

I did not use the stick longer and forgot the PIN.
how can I return the stick to the delivery state?

that the passwords are gone does not matter.

Loading OSCCAL from memory

This is likely a stupid question but I'm asking it anyway, OSCCAL_Init is called to load the last calibrated OSCCAL value from memory when the unit powers on. When the unit initializes the value is however overwritten to restart the calibration process. Would it not be more effective to use the saved value instead?

ASCII Syn Chars?

ASCII Syn Chars, what are they and how do we use them? I would like to add a wait for an SSH login.
Maybe this would be better added to the GUI as a list of usable/common keys for Hop and submit. Or a button to insert "waits".

Issues with latest pcb revision

Hi. I really like this project, thank you for making it.

The latest pcb revision I can find in the repository is memtype/schematic_pcb/electronic_design_kicad/memotype.pretty/electronic_design_kicad.kicad_pcb

But when I open this in Pcbnew I see some components are not yet connected (there is some "ratsnest"), also I can find no associated schematic file for this revision.

It would really help if we had sorted the hardware schematic/pcb and BOM into separate directories in "/schematic_pcb" for each hardware revision.

And do I understand correctly the gerber files currently in the repository are only older square revision with only 1 LED?

Thanks!

Secondary pin

It would be cool to have the secondary pin in case the owner is attacked physically. When this pin in entered all the data could be erased and/or dummy credentials would be given.

The printed board does not work!

Hello,I can not find the code with the full PCB file, I can not print the version and matching code,
Can you give me a matching photo file and code?thank you very much!I tried different code, but can not use, can you help me?

Upload code to Digispark

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any way to upload the code to a digispark ?
I've got no clue on how to do so ...
If this is not possible, since it was on digispark before, is there anywhere I can find the code that was used for digispark (In order to update it myself, and upload it on my digispark).

I did read the documentation, but it only show the manipulation for your own custom board.

Thanks

3d printable case?

I think it needs one. Has anybody designed it yet? If not, I might give it a shot.

Video files missing

Video files import.mp4, export.mp4 etc mentioned in memtype.pdf are missing.

USB plug

Instead of ordinary full-blown USB plug we could have PCB version of it. Like the ones on the Digispark.
