when installing module and dependence is missed it's only [ERROR] warning appeared (while cpan client would give an error in the end of process)

wher I run x to reload index it is too slow, how can I speed up the process ?

[09:58] < drin> but if I remove the file and do a 'cpanp i' instead of 'cpanp m' then it rebuilt the author tree, rebuilt the module tree

[10:03] @bingos it sounds like a quirk if it isn't checking whether the index is built or not when doing the 'm'

I am unable to use cpan2dist for even simple cases, because it gets caught in a seemingly infinite loop of recursive dependencies between a relatively small set of core packages. Please help!

I let it run overnight and it generated a 44MB log file w/out ever getting anywhere, for obvious reasons I have NOT attached the huge log.

For example, if you search for the test name "662-tbt-no-plan.t" in the attached log file, you will see it appear 11 times. In the huge overnight log, this particular test was run 778 times!

There are a number of other errors as well, not sure if related...

Hi Jos, I have created wrapper for cpan-plus cleint to install modules with chef - http://community.opscode.com/cookbooks/cpan-plus , this is the first version, but it may do basic things, you may add a link on the cpanplus documentation if you want.
