pythonocc-dataexchange provides import and export functionality for vendor neutral CAD formats [IGES] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IGES) and STEP, also known as ISO 10303.

pythonocc-dataexchange requires [pythonocc-core] (https://github.com/tpaviot/pythonocc-core), a python wrapper for the OCE library

pythonocc is composed of a number of packages: - pythonocc-core - pythonocc-examples

additional functionality is provided by the [GEOM] (http://youtu.be/ZUCv7COgzU0?t=33s) and [SMESH] (http://www.pythonocc.org/resources/meshing/pythonocc-and-smesh/) in respectively parametric modeling and FEM meshing
