About Pull/Merge Requests

NOTE: Although I am open to accept merge requests, I do have a few rules about that:

  1. The profile of who opened the PR must be open.
  2. I need to be able to identify the person who is making the PR either via photo, or because I know that person or because that person is known in a larger scale.
  3. The PR needs to be something meaningful to the project. Updates to Readme files are rarely that.

Javascript/NodeJS projects

For production projects we should keep the lock files when using NPM dependencies. However, managing yarn.lock or package-lock.json files is a lot of work for demo projects. For all of the demo projects, I have removed all lock files. This is explicitly made for all non-production projects that I have on GitHub. For the eventual production project, I will keep the lock files.

João Filipe Sabino Esperancinha's Projects

advanced-library-management icon advanced-library-management

Using Resilience4J, this is a Demo project which uses a Library as background and manages all its requests. This library can rent books online and the usage rate is extremely high. There is a reactive way to access, which is the one normally used, but sometimes, the system needs a bit of help from an old machine running a non-reactive MVC Spring application using JPA. Let's make this in Kotlin and find the best solution!

coffee-paradigms icon coffee-paradigms

The goal of this project is to simulate multiple people using coffee machines throughout a specific period of the day. This is not a game, but only a configurable simulator which will allow you to calculate how long fellow employees and colleagues can take to have coffee.

concert-demos-root icon concert-demos-root

This project is built in order to compare and illustrate differences between MVC and Reactive Web design patterns.

full-kotlin-java-course icon full-kotlin-java-course

This repo is under construction. In regards to the other repos I have created to investigate the Kotlin/Java programming languages, this repo is meant to be a compreehsive course on both languages. It will eventually be marked as complete and it will evolve separate ways when the course is complete.
