GrocerBud

GrocerBud is an application that helps users keep track of the expiry date of their grocery items. Users can add any grocery item and GrocerBud will tell them how many days before that item expires. Users can then create specific collections to organise their grocery items, add items to a grocery list and view nearby stores on a store locator map.

• Firebase v9.17.1
• Database: Firestore
• Deployed using: Firebase Hosting
• Bootstrap

How to use/navigate Grocerbud

1. Sign up for an account by entering a username, email and password or sign in with Google.
2. Upon signing up, you will be redirected to your categories page.
3. Create categories to organise your items.
4. Click into the newly made category.
5. Add an item within the category, which has an input of image, name & expiry date.
6. Watch the magic happen!

Improvement ideas & additional features

• Adjust the categories & items to be personalised for each user.
• Implement an image upload option for categories & items.
• Update the Google Maps function to search and show local stores relative to a location input by the user.
• Alert the user if the have any expired items in their categories.
