Setup

Requirements:

• npm
• pgsql (>= 9.1)

Instructions

• Create a local pgsql database using psql CLI tool:
  • CREATE DATABASE <db_name>
  • \c <db_name>
  • \conninfo to get port number (default 5432)
  • \password to set password of a
• Create a copy of configTemplate.js, config.js, and fill in database details
• npm install to install server dependencies
• npm run start to start server

Use pg-promise params for queries

Instead of string interpolation

Trigger, on Successful bid, all other bid for that ride will be unsuccessful

Add integrity contraints

Better logging for authentication

"Can this log (found in models/user.js for fetching userId) be changed to "Fetched ..." and the success message be moved to the passport-js part? (Where the done(..., true) is called"

Use eslint and prettier

SQL queries might fail due to string interpolation

When string interpolation is used instead of passing through as an argument via an array, sanitization and validation are not done automatically.

Use passportjs for auth

passport-local should do

Use partials for tables that involve car rides

Add delete and edit feature for car rides and bids
