ColourSharp started off as a simple VB.Net program to send a value through a serial port to a Arduino board to turn a LED on and off. I used my friends Aero Visualizer project which changed the Aero colour and made it more advanced and added dynamic colours based on the incoming FFT stream. A video can be found here:

Logic and UI code mixed

Currently the code is in a bit of a state. Most of the code is in one file. Refactor the code into four parts. UI, Serial, Audio Processing and Colour Generation.

Arduino is slow!

Right now there are many bottle necks in the code but one of the main ones being the serial write and read code. Make this run on an async task which can just get the colours stored in an array and send them instead of locking up the audio processing.

More advanced colour generation

Right now I feel that it doesn't make great use of colours which can be made through a combination of different RGB settings. I like the dynamicness though so would rather avoid hard coding in colours. Perhaps just helping it ease through two different ranges of colours to give it a more dynamic feel.
