A plugin reporting overlapping GIS datasets
Gitxsan phrase meaning "To Create Understanding". This QGIS plugin creates an interactive dynamic document that assess values on the land base in comparison to potential disturbance applications. This tool is meant to serve all in an open and transparent manner, which can be added to by any with the interest or skill.
- Place the contents of this repo in QGIS python plugin folder.

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\QGIS\QGIS3\profiles\default\python\plugins\

- Copy example
app.yml
and edit configuration.root

__init__.py
and setconfig_path
to the path to the configuration folder (containingapp.yml
) - Configure
data_config.xlsx
as desired. Store this file in the same folder asapp.yml

for output reports
- Start QGIS (restarting QGIS after installation may be necessary to activate the plugin).
- Add a file that contains your area of interest and if needed make a selection from the file.
- Click the QGIS Report button in the Plugins Toolbar.
- Select your area of interest layer from the dropdown
- If your AOI is a selection subset check the 'Use selected features' checkbox
- Fill out your database credentials
- Activate the 'Add overlapping interests to QGIS radio' button if desired
- Use the ... to navigate or just type in the path for your output report file (ending in
.html
)
