Swift is MUCH quicker, guarantees compile time safety and future proofs a lot of the tool. Is also backwards compatible with Mavericks. Would make much more readable (and allow us to do a lot of rapid development/feature testing through Playgrounds)

I would like to be able to copy the output once I have captured it.
Ideally, it should be possible to copy the 'phone screenshot or the listTree output separately.

I would like to be able to re-size the output window so that in the case of a screen with a lot of elements in it, I can see as many as possible without having to scroll.

Currently this repo has a number of subset projects that are all stored here. Move the tool to an independent repo (or remove the other folders) so everything is much more localised

I would like to be able to search the output, once I have captured it.

Added you just because I have exhausted my limited knowledge on the topic - having adapted the existing project to work on Yosemite, the current Instruments command line we run:

No longer works. Ignore what we have in for -w argument, since I am playing with lots of different things at the moment and it is accepted the UUID of a simulator as well as it's name. It still returns a "cannot identify device" if it doesn't like it so that definitely isn't the problem. Need to do some further investigating but as soon as you can have a nose through that will be great

Where an element has a value of 'null' it is shown as 'rect' in the output.

The menu option is not populated.
OK, so I've only got one project, but if the option is there, the list should be populated.

I think this is a bit harsh, I might want to carry on using the simulator!

Once a project has been opened, it would be nice if the name of the project was displayed somewhere on the screen.

When I select 'Open Project', but then click 'Cancel' I get an error message 'There was an error opening the Xcode project. Please try again.'.
This is not correct as I chose not to open the project, so it is not an error.

App crashes when parsing the simulators on Yosemite. Looks to be an issue with NSArrays

Any NSWindowController trying to initialise from a xib cannot correctly override the super initialiser. Using workaround in the post in the Apple forums - not nicest implementation but it works. Keep an eye on the issue until Apple fix this issue in a future release
