PlutoWorkspaceExplorer.jl

Interactively inspect your workspace values and topology in a Pluto session.

Usage

Create the following cells:

import PlutoWorkspaceExplorer as PWE

@bind _update PWE.update_notebook()

_update; PWE.workspace_explorer(PlutoRunner)

If you dont create the _update variable, then the workspace explorer will only be updated when you run the cell that defined it. The _update variable will change every time that you press Shift+Enter.

If you haven't already, you should update your TagBot.yml to include issue comment triggers.

Handle bound variables

The explorer only updates when you press Shift+Enter, but variables defined through the @bind macro should update interactively like they do in the main notebook.

Invoke the variable explorer with one cell

Right now you need to create a variable that updates every time that you press Shift+Enter, then you need to make the variable explorer depend on that variable. It would be nice if we could put all of that state management into a single call. Maybe this is another job for PlutoLinks? or AbstractDingetjes?

Make the links in the variable explorer work the same as the links in the main notebook

If you Ctrl-click a variable in the notebook, then your screen scrolls so that the variable is in the center of the screen and then your cursor selects the variable.

If you click a variable in the explorer, then you are instantly moved to a location where the variable is at the top of the page.

Make updates more efficient using the previous notebook topology

This feels like a job for PlutoLinks. Or perhaps it could be handled with some mutable state?
