helm-pass

Helm-pass is a helm interface for pass, the standard unix password manager.

Installation

You may clone helm-pass from its git repository, or install it from MELPA. To load it, assuming you use the excellent use-package package, it is as simple as:

(use-package helm-pass)

Usage

The main command is helm-pass which will list all the passwords that pass knows about and allow you to perform various commands on them. The default (i.e. just pressing RET) will copy the password to your clipboard.

Users of helm-pass may also be interested in functionality provided by other Emacs packages dealing with pass:

helm-pass's Issues

Cannot open load file: auth-source-pass

When i am trying to upgrade, it prompt error about auth-source-pass, i can only find auth-source in load-path, emacs-version is 25.2 on Debian 9.

Does password-store-url work at all?

Whenever I try to "Browse url of entry", I get the following error:

if: String does not look like a URL

Looking at the code in password-store.el, it seems that password-store-url is only getting the first line, that is, the password. I can't see how this was ever supposed to work.
Is it a mistake in upstream?

Since you've implemented the action, I'm asking here as you might have run it successfully.

Cross reference Emacs+pass projects

Emacs already has several pass-related packages. I propose we cross-reference each of them on each package and even Emacs wiki:

• auth-password-store: Integrate Emacs' auth-source with password-store
• pass: major mode for password-store
• password-store: Password store (pass) support

gpg: cannot open tty

Hi. I just installed helm-pass and am very excited to get it to work.

Whenever I try to have helm-pass copy the password to the clipboard, an error occurs:

password-store--run: gpg: cannot open tty ‘/dev/tty’: No such device or address

Looks like a problem when gpg is not run interactively.

What can I do about this?

thx so much for this, ive been waiting for something like this for ages ;-)

is it possible to have a user defined way to select the default action? i much prefer Enter to open fro editing instead of copying to clip

It was renamed to auth-source-pass.
