While using this plugin, I'm getting intermittent prompts for username/password... Usually this is happening when submitting an ajax enabled form (such as when updating administration settings). Have you seen this? Any thoughts on where to begin to troubleshoot this?

After following the instructions we got a configuration error on line "<clear />". Looking at this SO question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/297614/asp-net-remove-unused-httpmodules with references to this old post: http://madskristensen.net/post/remove-default-http-modules-in-aspnet, and this https://www.codeproject.com/kb/aspnet/10aspnetperformance.aspx code project you could remove some modules (Session, PassportAuthentication and AnonymousIdentification) but this would only give a small performance improvement. The proposal is to simplify the modules section by using:

<add name="RutaModule" type="RutaHttpModule.RutaModule" preCondition="managedHandler,runtimeVersionv4.0" />
</modules/>
