The welcome message output is not properly formatted. There's too much indentation and the username mentioned is wrong.

The name mentioned is gotten via user['name'] that doesn't seem to be the users actual user name. We need to figure out which name in the name object is the users actual username that works with mentions. See the User API doc here https://api.slack.com/types/user

Sometimes the bot responds to the same event multiple times. This causes the bot to send the same messages multiple times.

A possible cause for this maybe that the bots api response time is slow. So when slack sends a notification and it doesn't get a response in the specified time, it assumes the request failed and sends another request. So the bot ends up processing the same request multiple times. This is just a guess. Something else may be the cause.
