Could you be more specific in terms of what JDK you are using (vendor, version)? And if it worked previously, what has changed? Do you use the latest version of inspectIT (1.7) or the stable one (1.6)? Is there anything in the logs of the agent and/or cmr which can help here? Did you (de-)activate the system sensors in the configuration?

Did you maybe update inlfuxDB to version 1.2 or above. We currently have a bug with this version. Should be solved in next release.

I note from the documentation that turning the InfluxDB ON disables the System Overview data so it is a feature or better a documented bug. The version of InspectIt is 1.7.8.91

Hi @maccloud42,

As I understand there was only the confusion right, there is no bug? When influxDB is active the UI will not show the system overview data anymore, was this the problem?

Hey,
yes that is correct. The inspectIT UI will not show the data (CPU Statistics, Memory, Threads..) which has been collected during the time when the option "Write Data to influxDB" was active. This data is only available in the InfluxDB (which can be e.g. visualized on a web dashboard).
Data like invocation sequences, timer data, ... is still available in the UI.

I would like to classify this as an unfeature. As a user it is nice to have the data on display and in Influx. To have the System overview data disappear from the UI because of persistence doesn't feel like a particularly useful feature. Great system though, its being really helpful to us. Thanks.

I totally agree with you. We had this discussion already a while ago.
I created a new Jira ticket for this: https://inspectit-performance.atlassian.net/browse/INSPECTIT-2345
