I cannot access the options in "Tools" and "Bookmarks" menus, the options disappear when I try to select them.

I tried this in:

• Bookmarks Manager and Viewer version: 0.1.4
• Firefox version: Firefox ESR 52.3.0 (64-bit) binaries for GNU/Linux

Do not throw a great add-on, please !

1. Clicking on the "bookmark manager" button results in an error - "Illegal URL: chrome://bookmarks/"
2. The search is not working well, there are a lot of links in the results that do not contain a search string in either Title or Address. Perhaps you should do a search by Title and by Address separately.
   Those. make a search option with a choice - either by title or/and by Address

@ayoubhm in #29 item 3 requested a column but I''m thinking that might take up too much screen real estate. I could live with being able to click on one of the search results and have its path show below Titlle/Address/Date.

In Firefox extension should handle "text/x-moz-place" type drag and drop events.

I tried out the "Validate" option on a folder of bookmarks, and it failed to validate several which I know to be good links. Even very obvious ones like Facebook and Gmail.

Is this a known issue?

Please provide option to permanently disable the message "To show bookmark icons, this extension uses etc, etc ....." without users having to "... enable this service".

When opening in background, and when opening a whole folder, it loads all the tabs.
Could you please either make the default to create background tabs discarded, or at least provide an option.
Otherwise CPU can be tied up for a long time or cause crash, opening all the tabs simultaneously.
Also, discarded keeps custom bookmark/tab names which are lost when the tabs are re-loaded so they can't be identified.
This is the solution for #37

When using the mouse wheel or scrollbar the background of the bookmark window turns black. After a few seconds it turns to its regular color. Please fix as this is the best bookmark manager at the moment!

Could it be possible to display a specific icon for folders, in order to distinguish them with bookmarks?

1. Add "Add bookmark here" in the right click menu of the bookmark tree.
2. Add a button "Bookmark this Tab" so it is accessible without the dropdwon menu. Or let one choose a default action for the "Bookmark" button, it would save some clicking.
3. Add a extra field to the editing section of the pop-up to edit the tags of a bookmark.

First it works, sidebar opens, but when you wan't to close it, you have to click an empty space inside a page (not toolbar).

Please make it so that when the add-on is opened, it defaults the keyboard focus to the search box so that I can start typing right away without having to use the mouse to change the focus.

I want to add a bookmark to multiple folders when adding to the manager and modify, add, delete the bookmark folder easily from whatever folder the bookmark is in.
Maybe under where you modify the address add a new line for "Folder" that shows the title of the all the folders it is in and you could add or delete a new folder, then it would get stored into all the folders listed.

I don't know if anyone else would actually want to size the font in the panel, but if it isn't hard to add that I would really like the option to adjust the font size of the bookmarks in the panel.

The panel width will adjust, but the height will not adjust beyond 600px in length.

Hi, is there a way to put the bookmarks in a panel on the left side of the screen?
I’m currently using Flat Bookmark (goo.gl/Jdy4QU) (with Firefox ESR) and I’d like to have something like that (i.e. the bookmark panel on the left side of the screen and the folders stacked on the top of each other in a very compact way).

Furthermore, I would like to see all the properties of a bookmark when I right click on a bookmark:

It also seems that bookmark tags are ignored in the fuzzy search

The "Bookmark /" "Tools /" etc. menus do not open using the keyboard - tried enter, spacebar, down arrow - no luck. Clicking the mouse opens them fine, but i want it accessible/usable. Thanks!

First of all, absolutely fantastic extension. It was fundamentally what I was looking for.
A few points only:

• Right Click Menus should have also the "create new directory" and "bookmark this tab" that are in the dropdown below.

• Create New Directory should auto default to being in "rename" mode.

• Unfortunately when I create a new directory, it often dissappears and I zoom down the list, though my cursor does stay upon the New Directory. I have to scroll back up, then I like to "right click" and choose rename. Then I have to go to the dropdown and select "bookmark this tab". (I could probably hit the bookmark Star in Chrome but I am trying to stay within the interface.

• Fuzzy can be helpful but it sure returns alot. It would be helpful if the enclosing Folder structure would show with book mark and even folder returns. That is a bigger project to be sure.

Firefox Quantum is awesome. The FF team has loyal support from me. I have used FF for all my TV watching for many, many years and will continue but the new Quantum release has broken 2 of my favorite extensions named "Bookmarks Favicon Changer" and "Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar".
I use the toolbar to hold all my folders but have lost my icons I used to recognize them. When right-clicking on the folder and going to Properties, it seems to me a simple option to select an icon for that folder would not have to break FF. It would simply allow users to replace all those identical Folder icons with picture icons. It that can be done, it would also be great to leave the Names but provide an option to not show the name.
I would be happy to provide the code myself if FF's API's would allow this functionality. Thanks for your help!

After updating to version 0.2.6, the "custom" icon is lost, and it shows the standard green "puzzle piece" Firefox add-on icon instead, as below:

Bookmarks Manager Viewer works OK from the button; it's only the icon that's affected.

First of all I would like to thank you for the wonderful extension. I love all the features of this extension except the dead slow fuzzy search. Would you be able to fix this issue.

Would be very useful to transfer individual folders of bookmarks between profiles.

(I use different profiles for different subjects, need to sort bookmarks between them.)

When I last looked FF could only export ALL bookmarks.

While I was testing the plugin's fuzzy matching and wanted to delete a character from the match using the Delete, the plugin prompted me whether to delete the currently selected folder. I was really confused when that happened because I absolutely did not expect that and I am glad I read the message carefully because otherwise I would have deleted a folder with 300 bookmarks.

Please check and address this ASAP as I don't want other users to lose their bookmarks when they aren't careful enough.

(I don't intend to use this plugin, but really don't want others to go through this shock.)

When I'm clicking on bookmark — it's selecting and fields at bottom are changing.

But I'm not interested in these fields at all, I just want to open this bookmark.

I think, an option at Options page would be nice.

Is support for live bookmarks planned?

There was a little but very popular addon called LiveClick which improved Firefox live bookmark appearance. It was awesome, see here: https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/previews/full/54/54655.png
You could view all your feeds in a simple popup menu. Unfortunately, since Quantum this addon stopped working. No good alternative with the same GUI simplicity exists. All other RSS addons have their RSS feeds in a separate tab, which I consider bad GUI design since you have to open a separate tab then just to see if a new article is available.

This addon could have the potential to be a replacement for LiveClick if you added support for live bookmarks. At the moment live bookmarks are just shown as empty folders. But if you also support showing the entries, highlight feeds with new articles, show the number of unread articles etc. just as LiveClick, your addon would actually add some functionality not present in the Firefox default bookmark view and this would attract a lot of users who used LiveClick in the past.

Any chance on getting a mobile version (Android) to prevent having to zoom in?

fuzzy search don't work properly, e.g. if I bookmarked my Google homepage with name: javascript, then I add a search with these nonsens characters: sciiiippptd , the bookmarked page is in the search result.

I am using the default dark theme - is it possible for the background to be either user selectable, or respect the theme colour ?

The Addon MySession saves its data in the bookmark tree in a folder
MySessions / AutoSave_HH:MM (dd/mm/yyyy_MM:SS) xtabs / window x
Therefore as soon as this periodic saving has occured the toolbar button of bookmarks-manager will turn blue.
(That doesn't mean I consider this a bug on the side of bookmarks-manager. I'll tell the developer of MySession as well.)

Adding a Second Pane to have a dual panes system to do Drag n Drop to clean up bookmarks would be very useful we could also create new folders to sort quickly all the bookmarks.

If I type very fast into the search box, this add-on returns more results than it should. If I type more slowly, then if returns the proper results. If I just type the last character after a pause, then it seems to work out but if I blast it all out in one go, then it returns invalid results. Seems like something is dropping characters if you type too fast.

On the result pane (after a serach term has been processed) allow the possibility to sort by URL (address)

I want to use the addon to manage my bookmarks from the bookmarks bar.
Unfortunately I always have to expand the designated folder to see the bookmarks.
I'd like to set the root directory what the menu of the add on shows.

At the and of the day I freqvently use "Ctr+Shift+D" to save all opened tabs into a folder, next day I need to open to Bookmark Manager and apply : Open all in new windows
So would be nice to add this option to folder right click menu.
