ima-collection's Issues

how to link to imamuseum.org? related: how to get an image url for an item?

To mix metaphors: I'm just a drive-by tyre-kicker. But in the spirit of the engagement and curiosity that github makes easy...

Looking at the very first item in this repo I see all kinds of interesting metadata. I see I can type the accession number into the search box on imamuseum.org and get a single match, and that leads to a page with a lovely human-readable URL. The first question I have is: is there a reliable formula for generating that URL from the metadata in this repository? Or a machine-friendly URL that would reliably redirect to the human friendly URL, for every item in the collection?

I see from the Museums and the machine-processable web wiki that you support Open Search - if only Open Search supported Google's "I'm feeling lucky" parameter!

My second, bonus question concerns images. I am aware that image rights are fraught with complexity, and I see the museum's page about image usage... but is there a way to go from the item metadata in this repository to an image URL such as this one?

Refactor printers and publishers as actors

Even though we have printers and publishers as separate fields in EMu, we should just export those as actors with a role of "printer" or "publisher" in the json dumps. This is brought to light when looking at the glossary file that is generated (meta/objects-glossary.md). We could easily just set the role for actor instead of repeating the complete structures for printers and publishers.
