opc's Issues

not working with listen port above 255

Hi,
First i want to congratulate you on excellent work done.
I noticed during testing that if I give a listen port number greater than 255 then item browsing fails.
However the default 80 and anything less than 255 works. Is there anything wrong i'm doing?

Regards,
Rehman

Can connect client, but no items visible

I installed the OPC Server and I am trying to view the items in Matrikon OPC Explorer. I can see the server and can successfully connect to it, however no items are visible. The logging from the OPC Server shows the following:

18-Mar-19 13:35:44 > Running OPC Server from C:\Users\Djim\Downloads\ArduinoOPCServer.exe
18-Mar-19 13:35:44 > Waiting for OPC clients to connect....
18-Mar-19 13:36:21 > Connected client
18-Mar-19 13:36:21 > Trying to open COM5 port
18-Mar-19 13:36:21 > COM5 port open
18-Mar-19 13:36:21 > Asking for available OPCItems from ArduinoSerial0
18-Mar-19 13:36:21 > Frame:

On the last line it should send an overview with available fields, as I concluded from some of the video tutorials. Unfortunately it's blank... Any help would be greatly appreciated

regards,
Djim

ESP8266 Reset

ESP8266 resets when i try to change status of pin D6,D7 and D8. The pin mapping shows D6 as gpio12, D7 as gpio13 D8 as 15; I am using ESP library version 2.5.2. I think this might be conflict between Ethernet.h and ESP8266WiFi.h library. When it restarts there is not startup message. I tested it with dOPC explorer 2.0.0.261 and ArduinoOPCServer version 2.0, i also tesed it via browser the esp32 restarts without sending the response code back to the browser webpage. i am thinking of porting the code to work without the OPC library to avoid any conflics for both esp8266 and esp32.

License

This is an awesome work! I just recently bought the Lolin NodeMCU V3 Board which has an on-board WiFi and quite a small footprint. I was wondering if I could port this project to that board. What is your plan so far as to the License of the Source Code? Can I freely port it to other board and sell the board? Personally I don't mind sharing the ported source code.

OPC for ESP8266

Hi,
I want to expand your OPC library with ESP8266 support. I finally set up everything and understand library code and will write core connection in this week. 22/05/18
