z/OSMF multiple instances in control blocks

Hi, I have found this example to get URI of running z/OSMF instance.

It is working fine, however it is a mystery to me how to get URI of the second (third, ...) instance if running multiple instances on the same LPAR.

Thanks for any advice

links not working in z/os 2.4 z/osmf upgrade workflow

I just installed the z/os 2.4 upgrade workflow in z/osmf. I am looking at the Upgrading your zos system. An Introduction. When I click on that and review the information in the top pane of the screen, there are url links. When I click on a link to www.ibm.com..... that works but when I click on a link that points to info from my uss system EX:
•JES2: Activate z22mode https://td01.rxcorp.com:9443/zosmf/workflow/workflow.jsp#unique_1951480839
these do not work - nothing happens when I click the url link
When I look in /usr/lpp/zosmf/workflow which is where I believe the url points I do not see a workflow.jsp file
Any ideas??

links should go to the 2nd url instead of the 1st so the user can see the entire idea with comments.

A suggestion - the table of requriements/ideas links to the idea page (i.e. https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/ZOS-I-2471) which is fine but not very user friendly - more information can be found on the aha page (i.e. https://ibm-z-hardware-and-operating-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/ZOS-I-2471) - ideally the links should go to the 2nd url instead of the 1st so the user can see the entire idea with comments. (please)

Sample SMF data

Please upload some sample SMF data (think RDW might be required) for a few/all types.
Just for learning, it's impossible to read about MQ/CICS/DB2's SMF data structure without first having license to a z/OS system, in order to look for those datasets having headers.

As an individual, I can't do much with just parsers.
IBM can encourage developers by at least rewarding with some more open source stuff from IBM's lab environments or some such.

reading smf type 110 records

Hello,

I want to read SMF type 110 records from in-memory (subtype 01 and performance class) using IFAMGET service in c code you provided.
A SMF record has 17 cics performance records on performance data section(I also checked it from header section: SMFNNDRN=17). Unfortunately, their lengths are not constant eventhough SMFMNDRL=1868. I printed SMF record in %02x hex format and I found that performance records' lengths are varies.

ibm.com/docs/en/cics-ts/5.6?topic=section-performance-data-sections

I tried to add SMFMNDRA + SMFMNDRL to get second cics performance record's offset. Since SMFMNDRL isn't correct, I could'nt recieve second performans record's offset correctly. How could I get performance records length correct? They should be same length but they don't. Because I read from memory, does that problem caused by structure padding/packing?

I've also checked the mct and the parameter is COMPRESS=YES for our cics. I didn't try to expand smf record in our IFAMGET application, because i can read transaction id, userid, start and stop times etc. Should I try to expand to records?

May I ask you for your assistance for this matter?
Best regards,
Fatih

ezNoSQL znsq_create return codes

Hi,

I do work on an Enterprise SDK for Python C Extension for ezNoSQL. I get a hex return code of x'ffff' (masked by znsq_err macro) from znsq_create so i was looking for a documentation of znsq_create return codes but could not find any. x'ffff' does not look right to me. I tested with return code fields defined as int and uint32_t but get x'ffff' in both cases. Any ideas where i can find a more detailed explanation of znsq_create return codes? Is there a way to get debug messages from znsq_create in order to analyse the issues further? My extension is compiled/linked as 64Bit i am using libigwznsqd64.x/so

Thanks in advance!
