Leaving this tagline in place often makes the site not look good.
It is easy to change this. This lesson shows how to change this, step by step.

This exercise helps learners practically change the site tagline in WordPress
- On an existing WordPress installation change the site tagline to your desired tagline.

By default, WordPress uses "Just another WordPress site" as a tagline when you first create a website.
This tagline is often displayed on various places in the site including:
To change the wordpress tagline, navigate to your WordPress settings.
First you'll need to log into the Admin dashboard. This is commonly done by adding /wp-admin to the site URL.
SITE_URL/wp-admin
Once logged in you will need to go to Settings>>General and you'll see the site tagline field.
You can change the tagline or remove it by clearing the field.
- Leaving it blank
- Adding a preferred tagline
Once you have done this scroll down and click the save changes button.
Another method of changing the wordpress tagline, navigate to your theme customizer.
First you'll need to log into the Admin dashboard. This is commonly done by adding /wp-admin to the site URL.

Once logged in you will need to go to Apprearance>>Customize Click on site identity.
Change the tagline or remove it by clearing the field
Once you've done all this, Click on Publish.
After saving the change it shall be published on your WordPress site.
If the tagline still remains the same, try doing a hard reload of the page or clearing your cache.
