I do intend to support Android as a platform, however it will be some time before I can try to implement support for Android.

I don't understand webdev sadly, although I do want to support wasm based applications. Anyone who wishes to help please make a PR :)

The windows crate is effectively the officially supported method of accessing the Windows APIs in Rust, so we should move to windows-rs rather than continuing to use winapi

At the moment the BCP47 compliance in the returned language codes isn't fool proof. I wouldn't be surprised if the output is not BCP47 complaint.
