I could not read any responses from the control server. In fact, the scripts in tools did not work either.
I found that the fix is to change ControlServer.cpp:129 to

try { _outputStream.write(b.toString().getBytes()); _outputStream.flush(); } catch (IOException ioe) { _shutdown = true; }

I think flushing is necessary especially for small messages (As it is right now, it probably works for large messages.)

syndie crashes when switching the language (View -> Language -> French)
