On OSX, Firefox 3.6.15 and Safari 5.0.2, the color square of a slider does not match the color of its pie slice, although it seems to be adjusting the correct pie slice (size-wise).

We need a text formatter helper class to format data values.

For example, one entry point for formatting currency (fixed precision to 2 decimal places, dollar sign out front).
