laplace.c

A program to solve 2D laplace equation in a rectangle using Jacobi convergence method. The program uses rowwise domain decomposition to achieve parallel computing. The rectangle is not limited to a square. The code does not require any modification to run on differnt number of processors. The number of actual processes must match the number specified in the program.

Separate the temporary matrix for each process

The matrix B[][] declared in the body of the loop(...) method is later passed to each process as the temporary matrix to store the values of the previous state. This is redundant since each process uses only a portion of the matrix of the previous state. This temporary matrix should be declared in the body of the iterate(...) method with the required dimensions only.
