I launched the application as instructed,

./run_forte.sh

I got the following output in the terminal

rm: ~/forte/~optinput: No such file or directory
starting topopt service ...
topopt input server up...
topopt service started ...

Then, in a new terminal window, I executed the following commands,
./serverup.py 8888
./chrome.py

And in Chrome, navigated to http://127.0.0.1:8888/., I got the home screen with the toolbar but below that it was showing the following error in red colour

optimization server unavailable.

The process has created a dummy session folder also, what can be the possible error, how to debug and fix the issue?

Now svg files need to be located in a './design_data' folder, so that it be imported to (dragged into) Forte.

I installed the Matlab runtime R2016b (9.1) and also updated it, but I have read that this version of OSHighSierra doesn't reads the Matlabruntime. When I start Fortré backend, this appears:

and after I Open another Terminal window or tab, navigate to Forté's directory, and start a local server for Forté front end.
./serverup.py 8888
and Start Chrome with flags to enable client-server communication, the window opens but doesn't allow me to optimize.

I would like to know if there is any other Matlab compiler avaliable for this version of MacOS or if anyone knows a solution to this problem.

Why is the MATLAB setup specific for Mac OS? Could you please share some direction for deployment of the application with compatibility for Windows or Linux systems.
Could you also please share the source code for the executables used in topopt.app.

Yes! Finally got this installed. Thank you to all the people who made this possible.

One problem... I can't figure out how to view the saved file? I just get a file in the downloads folder that says "design.forte". I tried replacing the ".forte" with ".jpg", etc, but no luck.

How can I open this?

In an era where most of the CAD applications seems to invest in powerfull solutions for topology optimization, you apresent a friendly and easy learning solution, that is also very powerfull, expecialy for education.

A Windows version would be also good to have.
