After a great deal of handwringing and research, I've decided that Etsy isn't for me.
I'd like to remove the shop link in on the sidebar, and I'd like to remove the etsy link at the bottom of the "contact" page.
I'd like to combine the entries for Physical (analogue) and digital illustrations on the menu, under the new header "Illustrations". Ideally, when you click on the hamburger, there will be an entry on the menu called "Illustrations" and when you click on that, instead of immediately redirecting, two smaller entries appear underneath (physical and digital).
If this isn't possible, or would be too difficult/take too long, then I'm very into collapsing both categories and just having one big area called "Illustrations".
The following are the existing names of some hamburger menu items and the names I would like them changed to:
Prints ---> Lino
About Me ---> Contact
The Comic ---> Comics
Shop (plus icon) ---> Shop (minus bag icon)
Analogue ---> Physical
Users should be able to click through a gallery without moving their mouse around. Currently, the gallery nav moves around based on the size of the image info box. I should make this a consistent height, and allow scrolling? Or move the gallery nav somewhere that it will not be impacted by the size of the image info box (e.g. to the top of the page).
We've had a particular piece pinned there, but now that Jessi is actively updating the art we can let the digital category return to the natural flow, where the newest piece is the 'feature' for each category.
Filter 2 specific pieces from appearing on the front page (the animal ones). They should still appear as normal in the "Digital Illustration" section.
A very simple, no frills "word press" esque sort of function where I can post text entries (preferably with the ability to include photos and links).
This will be it's own section on the hamburger menu simply called "Workflow". We can collaborate more in-person to work this out but I want to stress that I'm looking for the least complicated version of this possible, both for users to access and for you to make.
Let me know if this isn't possible or will be difficult to implement. It's not a necessity and I can live without it if it's not doable.
I'm thinking of making the comic page and the (eventual, if possible) blog page exclusive to Patreon subscribers (when I get them hahaha) and I want to converse with you about whether that's possible and what it might look like.
Attached is an image of the front page that I've notated detailing what I'd like done, if possible.
Basically, I'd like a wider boarder around the items in the homepage, more in line with the space existing on the left side.
We had discussed this issue briefly, and I'm willing to go for a larger boarder if you suggest. Most of what I want is an equal amount of space on each side.
Currently returns 404; the db is only loaded on the main page at the moment.
It's not representational of my work as a whole and I don't think it serves the site to be too much of an omnibus of everything I've made. I want to pair down what I'm showing to represent both my best work and the work I prefer doing the most. Also gets across who I am as an artist much more clearly.
I think, if I blog section is ever made, I'll do a blog post about some fine art pieces I've made and liked, and will include pictures. That way they're there, but not so prominently displayed.
Should show the image and details about it (name, medium, etc.)
If I build up the confidence to touch code before you can resolve this, then I'll delete the ticket. That said, the help would be appreciated lol
Art is like food
It sticks to your insides
I make:
Commission work on-demand (editorial illustrations, portraits, album covers, etc.)
Original work
Prints of original work
Lino Prints (physically designed, hand carved–no computer involved)
Comics (coming soon…)
I use multiple mediums, including lino printing, acrylic, watercolour, collage, digital tools (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop), ink, and pencil
My specialty is surreal, uncanny imagery rendered in a comic-like style, but I’m flexible.
I studied formally at OCAD University (Toronto, Ontario) before relocating to work in Waterloo.

I would like to keep the social media icons and current photo there, I just want the text to change.
