Arguments for and against splitting packages

Hi and thanks for your work on this proposal!

if we split core, web, console, log, there are some things to discuss and consider.

  • would these all be released separately?
  • the more repos we create, the more automation stuff we need to properly handle it
  • also we need a test suite that runs tests against different combinations of core and other parts. Having more and more packages the more likely we get incompatibilities between different combinations of versions.
  • separation sounds useful at first but it brings a huge maintenance part with it that needs to be considered

what do we win with splitting up that much?
