Getting started

Start by installing the dependencies, run the following command in the root project folder and this will install all the dependencies for all projects.

yarn install

Running the backend

Note: configure your AWS profile before running these commands! e.g. export AWS_PROFILE=chatapp

To start the local Lambda development environment run

yarn run dev

Running the frontend

When running the local SST live Lambda development environment SST will replace your frontend with a placeholder page. In order to develop the frontend against your locally-running backend you need to run yarn start inside the root folder of the frontend that you want to change.
