Please change this line
lastPart = _text.Substring(range.End, _text.Length);
to
lastPart = _text.Substring(range.End);

Deleting one character left to the end of one of the partitions will cause the text to the right to move into the partition, while the cursor position will move right, this will result with deleting the wrong character next time the user clicks on "backspace".

Think of a sequence of clicks on backspace to delete multiple characters, when the cursor position is wrong, the wrong characters are being deleted.
