NeighBorrows is a community marketplace aimed at facilitating sustainable exchanges and promoting a greener future. Please note that the project is currently under development and is not yet fully functional. This README provides an overview of the project and its features, as well as instructions for setting it up and contributing.

Project Status

NeighBorrows is a work in progress and is not yet complete. While the provided code includes the front-end implementation using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, certain functionalities, such as backend server integration and complete user registration, are not implemented.

Please keep in mind that the project is in its early stages, and there may be known issues, limitations, or missing features. We are actively working to improve and expand the functionality of NeighBorrows.

• User registration and profile management
• Borrowing items from the community
• Listing items for lending or donating
• Item search and request functionality
• Messaging and notifications
• Integration with sustainable currency
• Payment system integration
• Community forums and discussions
• Sustainability badges and rewards

Setup and Installation

To set up the project locally, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository: git clone <repository-url>
2. Open the project directory: cd NeighBorrows
3. Open the index.html file in your preferred web browser
4. Use a code editor to explore and modify the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files

Contributing

Contributions to NeighBorrows are welcome! If you'd like to contribute to the project, please follow these guidelines:

1. Fork the repository
2. Create a new branch for your feature or bug fix: git checkout -b feature/your-feature-name
3. Make your modifications and ensure they are working correctly
