Motivation

I want to write automated UI-test cases for an application written in Scala that uses ScalaFX. OK, any ScalaFX application is somehow also a JavaFX application. Fortunatly I came across TestFX. TestFX is a great framework to test the UI of JavaFX applications. It provides a DSL for controlling and assertion of a JavaFX-application. The DSL is as good as it can get in Java and JUnit.

The application to be tested is written in Scala. Consequently I want to write the test cases in Scala too. I decided to use ScalaTest. That was the birth of ScalaTestFX.

I started ScalaTestFX as a small framework to use the TestFX library in test cases written as ScalaTest specifications.

scalatestfx's Issues

README is missing some foundamental section

The README file is missing simple but fundamental section such as:

• Install
• requirements / dependencies
• Usage example
• how to write tests

Those sections would help to use this library.

Scala 3 support ?

I am working on some scala 3 app. Atm we have a fork on which we have done some changes for scala3 support, would it be something worth proposing (it would need some work on my side though since I didn't cross compile anything) or is this repo dead and I should better see on my side to create a new scalatestfx repo?
