The only way I can get changes I make in my notes (or new notes) to show up on my iPad is to go to settings on the iPad and use Open an Existing Library. Then I can tap on the cloud icon next to the notebook name and it will re-download the notebook with all changes.
I thought syncing with dropbox was supposed to work in this first beta?
Thanks.
I know it's not that big of a deal but it can be a bit annoying especially when I don't always have access to my Mac to change the font to default text settings and the iPad app doesn't change very much.
In 8 days. Will there any update available? Thanks.
Currently I can't create new notebooks or notes on the start screen of the app on the iPhone (iOS 9.2.1 on iPhone 6s). The button in the lower right corner currently doesn't do anything. Also if I navigate into the Inbox or into the "Quiver Tutorial" notebook there is currently no button to create new notes. The only way to create notes at the moment is to navigate into an existing note and use the "plus button" on the upper right corner.
In any case it would be nice if it was possible to create new notebooks AND new notes on the start screen. I would expect the new notes that are created on the start screen to be sorted into the Inbox.
Please add a Widget for the Home screen to add a quick note very fast.
Thank you :-)
The ability to open the Quiver Notebook stored in iCloud Drive. Or any other option to sync via iCloud.
I received an invite, but it looks like it was revoked. Really looking forward to trying out the beta!
Very impressive & promising beta! Hope it will be even better when released.
Two related issues:
Currently I have to re-open the library and re-download the notebooks.
Btw, personally the start page after opening library is less relevant. Perhaps it's better to borrow some ideas from Evernote (with direct access to recent notes at the top, and notebook .etc beneath them)?
Well I am looking forward to flee from Evernote eventually...
When opening the app the first time (e.g. when it was closed by swipe to top or after turning device on) notes will be opened in editor-mode. Is there a chance to get an (settings?) option to choose preview-mode as default behaviour?
None of the notes seem to be changing order when I swap through all the settings. I'm not sure if the issue is only on my end or if anyone-else is having this problem at all.
After I filled the server and account info and click open the WebDAV, it just comes an empty directory: I can't even see the root directory.
I use NutStore for my WebDAV, and I have made sure the accessibility with another WebDAV navigator app.
Yes I know you don't want us testing compose -- but the UI seems a bit off from normal iPad UI expectations.
I love the design for both the OSX and the iOS app but I find that the lack of themes for the iOS app a little bland. The OSX app has several overall themes available while the iOS app only offers one. Is the idea of implementing more themes going to be added in the future? :) I'm just curious on this bit. I think the themes on OSX really add something professional and unique to the app for each individual user.
I previously synced a note to Quiver iOS stored on Dropbox. I then further edited it on OSX. Upon resolving, the content shows in the formatted display, but not in the editor.
Both Dropbox and Google drive are nightmares for our guys in China.
I've tried to share the Quiver.qvlibrary
iCloud drive to Quiver on my iPad air 2, it can't load this folder.
I tried to use Dropbox, after typing my username and password in the setting menu, I couldn't click the allowed
button show by Dropbox.
I tried to use Google Drive, but it seems most of my notes lost in iPad.
Steps to reproduce:
Workaround:
I stored a library from the desktop app in Google Drive. After connecting to the Google Drive from the iOS app I can go to the folder but can neither select the library bundle to be opened nor can go into this folder. The name is greyed out.
The library is the only file in this folder in Google Drive. It has only two entries, so possible usage limits from Google's side should not be limiting.
After a while (trigger unknown), when trying to open the library again from the settings menu Google Drive came up completely empty and I had to reconnect Google Drive before even able to see files and folders again
Settings
> Default Note Order
doesn't change note order. Notes are always ordered by title.
I'm able to rename a note, but the new name is not saved; upon switching context to another note (e.g. one of the tutorial notes), and then returning to my note, the title reverts to 'Untitled Note'.
I am using iOS 9.3.1 on an iPad Pro 9.7.
I have a note with an attached File (pdf) that is linked to the note. I am not able to open this attachment by clicking the link, neither on my iPhone nor on my iPad. Nothing happens after pushing the link.
I have a shared notebook on our company Box and would like to add that to iOS. I know that Box is not yet supported but I do also not see how I would add the shared notebook if it was on another service. Would it be by adding a second service?
My quiver library is in a folder called .quiver
but I can't see this or any other folder beginning with a dot in the Google Drive library selector.
Please add Spotlight search in the iOS version to search every text (not just subjects).
Thank you :-)
Hi!
When I tap download buttons for multiple notebooks shortly after each other, the indicators for the 2nd and later tapped-on notebooks disappear after the first notebook is downloaded, although the download continues in the background and all notebooks are on the device in the end.
Pasted links in a note while in edit mode are not clickable/touchable (i.e. they do not open in a browser). Would expect to be able to open a link in both edit and presentation modes.
There is a blue cursor in code cell (I was in bash) and it would be offset (a few characters off) from the blinking white cursor.
Sometimes this cursor had blue circles on top and bottom, and sometimes it didn't. These might have been handles to select text, but they didn't seem to be active (did not respond to touch)
I had confirmed subscription.
The send note as email functions create an empty email (without any attachment) regardless which export type is chosen.
Tapping onto the note itself doesn't move the cell or create a new one. The only way to change cells is to press enter on the on screen keyboard.
I also can't seem to get the formatting bar to show up on-screen anywhere. Is it a feature yet or still WIP?
Hi,
just installed the very recent update (some minutes ago) and tried again to open a .qvnotebook file. But it doesn't work
I tried following:
Maybe I'm doing something wrong!? How is your way to use WebDAV? Thanks!
Btw, folder and filenames in my WebDAV server is now ok.
I would suggest having the default sort order to be the last edited at the top of the list.
Hi,
some issues and inconsistencies with LaTeX I experienced:
Squareroots sometimes drawn a bit jumbled:
After reloading the page its drawn correctly - but still the bars over "x" and "y" are not visible:
and the code:
I know that I could have used "\bar{x}" instead of "\bar xโ.
(Quiver for OSX renders correctly)
Another issue in both versions of Quiver (OSX and iOS) is that the LaTeX-case-environment is not rendered although the same code works fine in an actual LaTeX-document.
Greetings
Hello!
Big fan and desktop customer here. I'm interested in running the beta on my iPhone and new iPad Pro.
The old beta sign up URL (http://eepurl.com/bItzIv) appears to be dead.
Is there a new way to submit my info for inclusion in TestFlight?
Thanks and keep up the great work!
Pretty essential feature for modern iPad apps, particularly for iPad Pro users.
Other languages that I have checked look OK, but Swift does not render the same as it does on the desktop app.
I'm sure this is a planned feature, but I didn't find it in a search. So maybe this is a placeholder...
The user should have the ability to change the sort order of the notes. It appears to be alphabetical right now. I would suggest the usual:
and ascending/descending for all.
Hi,
unfortunately, I am not able to load my (or as I've tested it, any) library over my WebDAV server. It's connecting correctly and showing me the library, such that I can choose it, but it just opens an empty library without any notes and notebooks. This does not change when synchronizing manually by pull to refresh.
The issue is not related to my library, as I've tested it with a completely newly created, 1-note library. I'm using a Seafile server (https://url.de:8001/seafdav/folder, username is a mail address) ...
Thanks!
Best,
Andreas
Hi,
it would be great to be able to pull to refresh at the root level and get all notes in all notebooks updated - at the moment, I have to go into each notebook and do the sync separately.
Thank you!
Thought I'd open an issue in this repo to mirror HappenApps/Quiver#500. Via @markphilpot:
I know this this probably very long term given you're still working on the initial iOS release, but looking ahead, I would love to include hand written notes (via iPad pro w/ pencil) in Quiver. It could be a dedicated notebook type rather than a cell type, but for me that would be the ultimate killer feature.
iPhone 6 , IOS 9.2.1
Changing the code cell theme has no effect until you force quit the app and restart.
It's probably already planned as a feature but it would be really nice if it was possible to add pictures from the photo library by selecting them like iMessage or similar apps do it instead of using copy & paste. The feature should give you the option to either select an existing photo or to shoot a new photo.
Is there a way to easily file bugs to this Github system from my iPhone? I feel feedback during this Beta might be harder if it takes a computer or involves several steps. Possible ideas, without knowing what is possible, include having a form in the Beta app itself or a URL action that opens a useful page in a Github iOS app or Mobile Safari.
That way Quiver could be multi-plat instead of being limited to iOS or OSX. :) Just an idea.
